Celebrating the tenth anniversary of the publication of the FATCA Agreement (July 2024) on the fight against fraud, evasion and tax avoidance through the automatic exchange of tax information, we review the current legislative initiatives, examining the most relevant milestones and the evolution of that remarkable agreement, precursor of others such as CRS and its subsequent transformation towards a multilateral model to combat the erosion of companies’ tax bases (BEPS). |
